Matthieu Komorowski is a consultant (attending) in intensive care and anesthesiology at Charing Cross Hospital in London, and co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of STRIVE Health, where he turns machine learning models into regulated medical devices.
Previously Associate Professor at Imperial College London, he pioneered the use of reinforcement learning in medicine, and ranks in the top 0.6% of most-cited scientists worldwide. He was a visiting scholar at MIT during his PhD and taught machine learning in healthcare as an associate of Harvard University. He also holds qualifications in space, mountain, diving and hyperbaric medicine, and was a finalist in the 2022 European Space Agency astronaut selection.
