AI is rapidly entering some of the most consequential moments in women’s health, from fertility and pregnancy to cancer screening and risk assessment. The promise is compelling: earlier detection, greater access to expertise, and fewer disparities in diagnosis. But better detection does not automatically mean better care. Women already face missed diagnoses, fragmented care, rushed encounters, and inconsistent follow-up. AI could help compensate for those failures, or automate them, obscure them, and create false reassurance that someone else is paying attention. This panel asks what evidence, oversight, workflow, and accountability are needed before “earlier, faster, fairer” becomes more than a promise.
