Name
Is AI governance actually working?
Description

The frameworks exist. The policies are being written. But in the exam room, the OR, and the ICU, clinicians are still making consequential decisions with AI tools that arrived faster than the guardrails. This workshop cuts through the governance theatre to ask the question that actually matters: is any of this working in practice? Participants will share honest accounts of what oversight looks like at the bedside and in the boardroom, interrogate the gap between policy intent and operational reality, and collectively work out what genuine accountability requires — not in theory, but in their health system, starting Monday morning.

This workshop is designed to move discussion into real-world action. Each session creates space for meaningful conversation, peer learning, and shared problem-solving, with a clear focus on what happens after the event. Participants will be encouraged to continue the dialogue beyond the room by sharing reflections, resources, and follow-up actions via a dedicated WhatsApp group. By building these connections, the Action Lab helps turn a one-off session into an ongoing community of practice.
