AIMedX - The Future of Healthcare Reimagined
Dr. Anthony Chang

What if you could experience AI in healthcare — not just see it demonstrated? AIMedX is a NEW AI in Healthcare Immersive Educational EXperience, only at AIMed26!
Executive Summary
Every year, thousands of healthcare leaders and clinicians attend AI-themed healthcare conferences and return to their institutions with a recurring challenge: translating what they have seen into what they can implement. The traditional exhibit format has done remarkable work in surfacing the breadth of innovation in the field, but the format itself was designed for product discovery, not clinical translation. AIMedX is built for the next step — moving from awareness of AI tools to fluency with AI in context.
Launching as the immersive centerpiece of AIMed26 (November 10–12, Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld), AIMedX is a first-of-its-kind experiential environment that recreates the clinical spaces where AI is already transforming care. Rather than showing attendees a screen, AIMedX places them inside a series of fully realized clinical venues — an AI-enabled diagnostic imaging suite, an operating room with robotic-assisted surgery, an intelligent ICU with decision support, an outpatient clinic with ambient AI documentation, and a connected home with wearable monitoring and AI health agents. Each AIMedX venue is staffed by educators who guide attendees through real workflows, real decision points, and real limitations — not polished demos but honest, contextualized encounters with the technology as it exists today. It is a real-world, real-time, and real-patient experience.
AIMedX is built on three convictions. First, that AI adoption in healthcare is failing not because the technology is inadequate but because clinicians and healthcare leaders and administrators have never experienced it in context. Second, that the “centaur” model of human-AI collaboration — the physician or healthcare leader amplified, not replaced — can only be understood by doing, not by watching a demo. Third, that immersive clinical context is a complement to — not a replacement for — the product discovery that exhibit halls do well, and the field is ready for both.
For attendees, AIMedX offers structured, hands-on learning across the clinical environments where AI has the greatest near-term impact. Each venue includes guided scenarios, real-time interaction with operational AI systems, and takeaway frameworks designed for institutional clinical translation. This is continuing education presented as an experience — or an experience elevated to higher level AI education so that AI concepts become relatable and real.
For sponsors, AIMedX offers something a booth cannot: the chance to show a product working inside the clinical scenario it was built for. The technology is experienced by C-suite executives, chief medical officers, and frontline clinicians in the exact context where adoption decisions are made — guided by educators who can speak to both the workflow and the science. Engagement is measured in sustained minutes of contextualized attention, producing the kind of comprehension and recall that translates into pipeline conversations long after the conference ends.
For the field, AIMedX represents the natural evolution of AIMed's founding mission: a meeting organized by clinicians, for healthcare, where the clinician voice leads the AI conversation but is all inclusive of all stakeholders including healthcare leaders and administrators, data scientists and AI experts, investors and entrepreneurs, and especially patients and families. AIMedX moves that mission from telling the story of AI in healthcare to showing it — from describing the centaur to letting attendees ride one.
The AIMedX concept draws from more than a decade of design work on the AI in Health Center, a comprehensive architectural vision for embedding AI across every clinical venue, presented to several large health institutions and also published in Intelligence-Based Healthcare (Elsevier, 2026). AIMedX brings parts of that vision to life in a conference setting for the first time.
AIMedX is a different kind of conference offering — neither a trade show nor a demo hall, but an immersive clinical environment that complements both. It is the educational experience the AI-in-healthcare community has been ready for, and it can only exist at AIMed26 because it draws on exactly the clinical depth, educational rigor, and industry relationships AIMed has spent years building.
Introduction
Every year, the major healthcare conferences do an extraordinary job of surfacing the breadth of AI innovation reaching the market. What the format is not designed to do — and was never meant to do — is place the visitor inside the clinical workflow where a given technology actually lives. Attendees often return to their institutions energized by what they have seen, and still searching for the answer to the harder question: how does this AI tool change what a radiologist, surgeon, intensivist, or primary care physician actually does on Monday morning?
AIMedX is built to answer that question. Rather than show AI on a screen, AIMedX places the attendee inside the clinical venues where AI is already at work — and lets them encounter the technology the way the clinician encounters it: in context, in motion, and in conversation with the workflow around it.
Launching as the immersive centerpiece of AIMed26, AIMedX is a first-of-its-kind experiential environment that recreates the clinical spaces where AI is already transforming care — and where its greatest potential remains untapped. Attendees will move through a number of fully-realized venues, each designed to replicate a real-world clinical setting. Where the traditional exhibit hall is organized around products, AIMedX is organized around the clinical environments those products inhabit. It is a live demonstration of what AI looks like when it meets the complexity of human healthcare.

AIMedX is a collection of several venues of the AI in Health Center that has been in design for more than a decade to fully embed AI into the health center.
The AIMedX venues include:
The Medical Imaging Suite/ AI Diagnostic Imaging Center with the MultiModal AI Program. The experience of what happens when an AI system reads a medical image in seconds, triaging critical findings to the top of a radiologist's work list and flagging incidental findings that might otherwise be lost in the volume of a busy practice. But more importantly, AIMedX allows one to witness the radiologist's workflow — the way AI changes not just what is detected but how diagnostic reasoning unfolds, how communication with referring physicians shifts, and how the radiologist's role evolves from pattern recognizer to clinical integrator.

The educational content will include the structure and functionality of deep learning in the form of convolutional neural networks and the emerging architecture of vision transformers as well as machine and deep learning for the imaging workflow from start to finish for clinicians and technicians.

The Operating Room/ Robotic Surgery Lab. Step into the AIMedX surgical suite where computer vision systems identify anatomical structures in real time, where predictive algorithms flag hemodynamic instability before the anesthesiologist sees it on a monitor, and where robotic-assisted platforms integrate multimodal data streams to augment the surgeon's judgment — in real-time. Attendees will see how AI functions not as an autonomous operator but as the ultimate surgical partner, embodying the centaur model of human-AI collaboration at its most consequential.

The educational content will include the embedding of anatomic details of imaging with deep learning in the form of convolutional neural networks and vision transformers onto live anatomy. Robotic capabilities enabled by AI will also be presented as part of the surgical team.
The Intensive Care Unit/ The Intelligent ICU Center with the AI Clinical Simulation Lab. Stand beside an AIMedX critical care bed surrounded by the most data-rich environment in all of medicine. Watch as AI systems synthesize ventilator waveforms, hemodynamic trends, laboratory cascades, and nursing assessments into a coherent clinical picture that would take a human team precious minutes if not hours to assemble. See digital twin technology model a patient's physiologic trajectory in near-real time, giving the intensivist not just a snapshot of now but a probabilistic window into what comes next.

The educational content will include real-time decision support with machine and deep learning as well as AI-enabled digital twins that will allow clinicians to add real-time multimodal data dimensions to the ICU decision making process. Reinforcement learning is also presented as an AI tool for decision support.
The Clinic/ The iClinic with the Rare Disease Center and Digital Twin Program. Walk into an AIMedX outpatient visit where ambient AI captures the conversation between a physician and patient, generating structured documentation in real time so the clinician never turns away to type. See how predictive models surface relevant risk scores, medication interactions, and care gaps at the point of decision. Experience what it means for a physician to practice at the top of their license because the cognitive burden of administrative medicine has been lifted by an intelligent system working quietly in the background.

The educational content will include the natural language processing and generative AI tools needed to execute ambient AI with future perception capabilities for ambient intelligence. In addition, machine and deep learning tools can be used to enable real-time decision support.
The Home/ The AI Wearable Technology Studio. Step into a futuristic AIMedX living space where remote monitoring, conversational AI health agents, and smart biomarker devices create a continuous health surveillance environment that extends the reach of the care team far beyond the walls of any hospital. See how an elderly patient with heart failure is managed through daily weight trends, voice biomarker analysis, and an AI agent that knows when to escalate and when to reassure. This is where the future of healthcare is heading — into the spaces where patients actually live — and AIMedX makes that future tangible.

The educational content will include multimodal AI with sensors and its future role in monitoring and following patients at home. Additional AI support will include machine and deep learning as well as AI agents for decision support for both the patient as well as the caretaking team.
AIMedX: An Immersive Educational Experience
For attendees, For attendees, what distinguishes AIMedX is that every venue is designed as a real-world, real-time learning environment. Attendees are not passive observers watching a screen. They are guided through each setting by educators who contextualize every technology within the workflow it supports, the problem it solves, and the limitations it carries. Each venue includes structured learning, real-time Q&A with the instructors operating the systems, and takeaway frameworks that attendees can bring back to their own institutions. AIMedX is continuing education disguised as an experience — or an immersive experience elevated to an AI in healthcare education.
The AIMed conference remains anchored to the traditional format: stages, slides, and panels of expert. AIMedX adds substantially to that paradigm where the narrative belongs to the clinical reality of AI adoption.

AIMedX: A Sponsorship Platform Unlike Any Other
For sponsors, AIMedX represents an opportunity that complements traditional exhibit presence: the chance to place a product or platform inside the clinical context it was designed for, and to be experienced as part of the care workflow rather than alongside it. A sponsor in the Operating Room venue is not buying square footage — they are buying clinical embedment and the credibility that comes from having their technology demonstrated by clinicians, in scenario, in front of the decision-makers who will procure it.. Their technology is being experienced by healthcare leaders, C-suite executives, chief medical officers, and frontline clinicians in the exact environment where adoption decisions are made.
This is contextual sponsorship — the sponsor's solution is woven into the fabric of the clinical scenario, giving attendees a deeper and more durable encounter with the technology than any standalone format can provide on its own.The educational framing also means that sponsored technologies receive extended engagement. Attendees spend meaningful time in each venue, guided by educators who explain not just what the technology does but why it matters. The result is deeper comprehension, stronger recall, and a fundamentally different kind of brand association — one rooted in clinical trust rather than marketing exposure.
Sponsorship tiers can be structured around venue ownership, co-branding with clinical scenarios, and integration into the educational content itself, creating a partnership model that aligns commercial objectives with the educational mission of AIMed.
The AIMedX Difference
AIMed has always been the meeting organized by clinicians, for everyone in healthcare — the place where the clinician voices lead the conversation about AI in medicine rather than following it. AIMedX is the natural evolution of that philosophy. It transforms AIMed from telling the story of AI in healthcare to showing it, from describing the “human-AI centaur” to letting attendees “ride” one.
The conference landscape has matured rapidly, and AIMed has always seen its role as additive — bringing the clinician voice forward in a conversation that benefits from many formats and many perspectives. AIMedX extends that contribution. It is the product of a community that has spent years building the clinical depth, educational rigor, and industry relationships needed to bring technology and medicine together in a space that feels real, because it is.
Welcome to AIMedX. The future of healthcare AI is not on a slide or embedded in a demo. It is the AIMedX experience.
