Cleveland Clinic
Shravan Kethireddy, MD, FACP, is a critical care physician at Cleveland Clinic whose work sits where intensive care medicine meets data science. He is board-certified in critical care medicine, infectious disease, internal medicine and clinical informatics. For more than a decade he has worked to turn ICU data into clinical decision support that is actually used at the bedside.
Before joining Cleveland Clinic’s Department of Critical Care in 2021, Dr. Kethireddy was System Medical Director of Critical Care at Northeast Georgia Health System. There he co-led the region’s multi-campus COVID-19 critical care surge response. Before that, at Geisinger, he served as Associate Chief Data Officer, chaired system-wide sepsis quality improvement, and founded one of the first ACGME-accredited clinical informatics fellowships in the United States.
His research focuses on mechanistic and causal modeling of how critical illness unfolds over time, including forecasting ICU patient trajectories and estimating individualized treatment effects. He is also a faculty affiliate of Purdue University’s Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering and adjunct faculty in Applied Data Science at Cleveland State University, where he trains the next generation of clinician-data scientists.
