Dr. Kevin Olson is an Assistant Professor and Director of the ITEHC™ Academy at the University of South Florida (USF) Taneja College of Pharmacy (TCOP). He has been a prac cing pharmacist for 36 years with focus in healthcare leadership, regulatory, quality, safety, and process improvement. Dr. Olson has joint faculty appointments in USF Morsani College of Medicine’s Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and prac ces in ambulatory care. His didac c focus is in Social and Administra ve Sciences and Healthcare Innova on. He is the faculty advisor for the Industry Pharmacist Organiza on (IPhO) Student Chapter at TCOP. His research interests include process and quality improvement, value-based care, change management, and applica on of ar ficial intelligence and blockchain in healthcare. He has been instrumental in integra ng AI and ML content into the PharmD didac c curriculum with a focus on applica on to drive change in pharmacy prac ce and healthcare transforma on. Kevin has served as faculty mentor for graduate students from TCOP and other USF Colleges on numerous projects focused on the applica on of AI, ML, and informa cs/technology innova on in pharmacy prac ce and healthcare. He is a USFICORPS Fellow. Kevin holds an Execu ve Master of Business Administra on degree from the University of Tampa Sykes College of Business, Doctor of Pharmacy and Bachelor of Science degrees in Pharmacy from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The College of St. Scholas ca. He completed an ASHP Pediatric Specialty Pharmacy Residency at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.
